Getting Trusted Coffee insights

To get started, please drop us an email so we can arrange a quick call. While we will tailor our approach to suit your needs, the general process is as follows:

  1. We scan samples of each coffee using our unique Proof.Reader device. You can choose to send us coffee samples by post, or if you’re based in the UK, we can visit your offices.

  2. We analyse the data to create each coffee’s Proof.Profile describing the flavour, quality and provenance.

  3. For each coffee we send you a confidential report detailing the Proof.Profile and other findings. You can choose to share some of, or all, these insights with prospective customers.


Proof.Reader

The Proof.Reader consists of our bespoke scanning technology coupled with our unique algorithms that creates each Proof.Profile.

The Proof.Reader is a faster, more efficient and cheaper way to grade coffee, providing impartial, unbiased, consistent results. The tools are robust, and can be deployed in field without use of a full laboratory.

Proof.Profile

The Proof.Profile is an improved common language for describing coffee. The Proof.Profile provides product insight through 3 elements:

1) Quality Profile

An estimation of coffee quality aligned to SCAA cupping scores. Quality is verified using the scanned data from the Proof.Reader and our bespoke algorithms.

This methodology supports consistency of quality in every coffee batch.

2) Flavour Profile

A description of the flavour profile, based on the relative intensity of Acidity, Body and Sweetness.

This flavour profile is aligned to the specific cupping score attributes that relate solely to flavour.

The flavour profile compliments existing measures, allowing for consistency of flavour as well as consistency of quality.

The flavour profile is verified using the scanned data from the Proof.Reader and our bespoke algorithms.

3) Unique Identifier

Each coffee batch analysed has a unique fingerprint. The scanned data from the Proof.Reader and our bespoke algorithms creates this unique identifier.

This makes it possible to verify that the coffee you receive is the same as the coffee you ordered.


The Proof.Profile is calculated from all available information and the analysed Proof.Reader data. In some instances we use additional tools and cupping sessions to provide the most accurate profiles possible.
